Kilo-Pak offers sound attenuating enclosures. These innovative sound shields
represent a significant departure from designs currently on the market. Design
criteria included not only sound attenuation but also ease of maintenance and
installation.
Both sound shields incorporate a strong, corrosion resistant stainless steel
base not unlike Kilo-Pak’s standard stainless steel drip pan base. The bases are
setup to receive, locate and align the other members of the enclosures.
The lightweight fiberglass sound shield
Quiet Pak, for the 8kW through
30kW generator sets, employs a honeycomb core sandwiched between two layers of
fiberglass. During lay-up vacuum bagging insures proper lamination and fit. This
design gives a great deal of strength and rigidity, while eliminating the need
for typical sound attenuating foam on the inside of the shield. The gel coated
exterior as well as the fiberglass inside are easy to clean and maintain. The
shield is held together by a system of locating pins and latches and it can be
completely disassembled and removed in less than a minute. Penetrations are
provided for exhaust and electrical cables as well as fuel and oil lines.
Our
Whisper Pak sound shields for sizes 30kW through 300kW, employ
stainless steel or powder coated aluminum panels. Like the smaller units these
shields are held together by a system of locating pins and latches and can be
quickly removed.
